At Center for Vein Disease, we treat the spectrum of venous disorders including chronic veinous insufficiency, varicose veins, spider veins, and more. Please see below.
Varicose veins are the large, bulging veins you see on your legs that can cause aching pains, pigmentation, swelling, and tiredness.
Spider veins are superficial, small, broken veins. These are ordinarily a cosmetic issue.
Chronic veinous insufficiency can cause blood pooling in the lower legs, creating swelling and discomfort, which is usually worse at the end of the day.
Blood pooling can create a sense of restlessness at nighttime, which can interfere with your sleep.
Blood pooling in the superficial veins can create inflammation, which can lead to blood clotting. This can extend into the deep veins (DVT) as well.
Chronic venous insufficiency can create inflammation over time, which can lead to discoloration and ulcers.
Pregnancy can create painful varicose veins which can persist after the delivery of the baby. Sclerotherapy can remove these veins and improve the pain and swelling.
